There is, not far from the lake, a middle-aged man. He has been there some time, picking at the grass, smelling the earth, poking and prodding at the muck around the muddy waters.
Of course, Merlin is never without worries, though he would be hard-pressed to complain about them, if it is not in the most terribly caustic fashion.
